Run for Recovery

 Run for Recovery 2021

THANK YOU to all who supported the 2021 Run for Recovery on August 14! We had a great time running through the zoo and together have surpassed our fundraising goal of $65,000! There is still time to donate - we would love to see how far we can go to help those in recovery.

The Run for Recovery is an opportunity to move for something that matters - whether that is for your mental health, celebrating recovery, or in memory of a loved one.

HOSTED BY RECOVERY RESOURCES ASSOCIATE BOARD

The Associate Board promotes the mission, goals and objectives of Recovery Resources and is comprised of vibrant, community-minded, young professionals and volunteers. The Associate Board embraces a comprehensive strategy of community outreach through awareness, education, social, and fundraising activities focusing on their main annual event, the Run for Recovery. The Associate Board also serves as a resource for the development of future community leaders and Board members.

Treatment: Whether clients need treatment for the early stages of substance use or have been dependent on drugs and/or alcohol for a long time, Recovery Resources offers a variety of outpatient services, including Outpatient and Intensive Outpatient Addiction Treatment Programs, lasting eight weeks. Money raised from the Run for Recovery allows these programs to continue and gets those who need care into treatment.

Basic Necessities: Recovery Resources provides clothing, toiletries and other basic necessities for our clients who can not afford them. We also provide uniforms for jobs and trainings to get clients into competitive employment. It's through money raised during the Run for Recovery that makes this possible.

Transportation: According to Recovery Resources clients, transportation to get to their treatment is the number one obstacle they face. In our annual fund, $76,000 goes toward RTA bus passes and other transportation options. These funds heavily come from Run for Recovery fundraising dollars.
